TECHNIQUE: Real time B mode ultrasonography of gravid uterus done by transabdominal route on Voluson E8 Radiance Colour Doppler ultrasound system. 3D and 4D volume rendering was also done. LMP: 26/1/2017. EDD by LMP: 11/11/2017 GA by LMP: 15W 1D. Indication(S)-For NT measurement and Downs syndrome risk assessment. Fetus Survey Single intrauterine gestation. Presentation – changing position at the time of scan Placenta – is located posterior, grade ( 0 ) mature. Placental cord insertion is central. The placental echo texture is homogenous. Fetal stomach & urinary bladder well seen.Both kidneys are well seen Fetal activity is present. All four limbs are well seen. Spine to the extent seen is normal. Liquor amnii is normal for gestational age. Umbilical Cord-Two arteries and one vein Cardiac activity present. Fetal heart rate – 145bpm. Maternal survey:- Length of cervical canal is 3.8cms. Internal os is closed. Fetal Biometry B.P.D. : 3.1 cm 15.5 Week H.C. : 11.5 cm 15.4 Week A.C. : 9.4 cm 15.4 Week F.L. : 1.7 cm 15.1 Week Extended Biometry: Nasal Bone:Visualised. Nuchal translucency :1.4mm Ductus venosus : Normal flow Tricuspid regurgitation: Absent Normal AV flow in heart is seen. Impression: Single live intrauterine fetus corresponding to gestational age of 15.4 wks. Gestational age assigned as per biometry(FL) Suggested rescan at 20-22 weeks to rule out anomalies.
