What Does This Ultrasound Report Indicate?

i'm a female aged 45. took an ultrasound scan mainly for uterus. it consists of multiple fibroids. in that scan report i found liver, spleen, pancreas and urinary bladder normal. but mild PCS dilatation seen in both kidneys, more on the right side - no definite calculi. doctor mentioned nothing about it. So please let me know is it any major problem ? Shall i consult any urologist ?

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

There are conditions where the kidneys may falsely appear bulged at the pelvis. This is called as extra renal pelvis and considered normal. You may like to get a serum creatinine test done and if you have urinary problems like burning and inability to hold urine then a routine urine test with culture may help. If your doctor is certain that you have no abnormality then be rest assured that everything is right with your kidneys.
