what does it mean to have a distended gallbladder with no evidence of cholelithiasis , sludge, pericholecystic fluid or wall thickening - with continued pain? I have pain under rib cage and lower back and abdomen I have had X-ray ultrasound and ct scan waiting on ct scan to come back that s what my ultrasound shows is the question I asked... do u have any suggestions ยป
Distended gallbladder can occur with acute cholecystitis which seems to be the condition in your case since you have continued pain. You may need to go through a course of antibiotics and then laproscopic cholecystectomy as a definitive treatment for this problem.
