Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Dr. My father is 64 Years old he is not well, we did ultra sound yesterday and seen somr multipe enhaned ecogenic lesions of 22x20mm size are seen in the right and left lobe. irregular heterogenous lesions of 80x56mm, 30x30mm and small size are seen in the left and right lobe. normal IHBR
the liverultrasound of your father is suggestive of two things: 1 - he has gallstones (multiple enhanced echogenic lesions) and 2 - he has liver lesions (heterogenous lesions), both subcentimeter in size and probably benign liver lesions.
for his gallstones, if symptomatic, the definitve and goldstandard treatment is laparoscopic cholecystectomy. for the other lesions, regular monitoring is needed. a consult with a general surgeon is best. it is not an emergency condition, but have a sense of urgency in terms of treatment as the course of the disease might progress. a low fat, low cholesterol diet would also be of importance.
hope this helps.
good day!!
~dr.kaye
hope this
