What Does This Ultrasound Report Of Shoulder Mean?
Hi, I had a bad dislocation of R. shoulder in 2006 with ongoing pain ever since. Ultrasound said that head of biceps is medially subluxed and on external aspect of subscapularis; and supraspinatus is heterogeneous. Could you explain this in simple terms please?
Subluxation of the long head of the biceps tendon from the bicipital groove is one of the common causes of shoulder disability in the arm. This condition has characteristic symptoms: - Pain on throwing and relieved by rest - Palpable snap at a certain point in the arc of motion.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
