Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had two ultrasounds because of intermittent shooting pains in my lower abdomen, the second scan from 4 weeks ago showed a small csyt, it disappeared in the most recent scan though. But my right ovary now has a corpus luteum. my ultra sound measurements from last week read uterus;74x35x53mm and its volume of 71cc , endrometreial thickness; 10mm , right ovary volume; 13.8cc left ovary volume 3.6cc - secretary phase(period is 13 days late) wheres as my ultrasound from 4 weeks ago read uterus; 70x23x35mm and its volume of 30cc, endometrial thickness 6.7mm right ovary volume; 5.7cc left ovary volume; 10.4cc - proliferative in appearance i was just wondering if you could explain what all this means is it normal? why is there such a difference?what is happening? Please help me understand these scans and what they mean as my doctor has no clue and i can t see the gyno for 4 weeks.
