9Hello my mom is 70yrs old. During ultra sound of her abdomen ....scan impression results are as below 1 grade ii fatty liver no focal lesions /I HBRD 2 no e/o cholelithiasis or signs of cholecystitis 3 normal renal echos with no calculus obstructive uropathy on the right left lower polar non obstructing renal calculus 4 bilateral type I renal cortical cysts (bosniak) 5 anteverted atrophic uterus with no obvious adnexal lesions 6 mildly trebaculated urinary bladder no fluid in the cul-de-sac Please advice thanks
* As per my surgical experience, any ultrasound report has to be corelated with underlying clinical symptoms only.
Without the details of symptoms, I can suggest that the right left lower polar non obstructing renal calculus management depends upon the size of the stone with symptoms.
If tiny around 3-4 mm size, passes with oral hydration around 5-7 mm needs flush therapy and oral medications for easy dissolution. If 8-9 mm or above, needs extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy modality of care to cure.
