Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I want to know what this mean Uterus: Measures 7.9 x 3.6 x 4.4 cm and size and position. The uterine myometrium is significantly more heterogeneous than on the prior suggesting underlying adenomyosis. Within the posterior uterine body, there is a prominent tangle of vessels with arterial waveform suggesting of possible dilated artery or arterial venous malformation. Endometrium: endometrium homogeneous measuring 4 mm. There is a small subendometrial cyst in the fundus. Heterogeneous myometrium which is suggestive of adenomyosis.
The ultrasound report is suggestive of hormone alteration causing adenomyosis issue. As there is arterial venous malformation, if the menorrhagia is of prime concern, surgical ablation or endovascular coiling may be of great help to control the condition. However, if further details of symptoms is available, I can quote in details ahead as per my surgical experience in these types of cases.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
