Hi, My ultrasound report states that Uterus is bulky in size and anteverted in position. It measures 94 x 54mm in size. An ill defined hetergeneously hypoechoic lesion measuring approx 33 x 31 x 26 mm seen in fundus and upper body causing splaying of endometrial canal and shows significant vascularity within. Endometrial thickness is 5mm No free fluid seen in cul-de-sac. I would like to know what this means please.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Normal uterus is anteverted only. Presence of hypoechoeic lesion in the fundus of uterus indicates fibroid. It is a benign tumor that usually comes in the reproductive age group. In the query, you didn't mention about your age.

They can be single or multiple. They won't cause any harm usually. But, sometimes causes heavy bleeding, and may obstruct the normal pregnancy also.

Please visit gynecologist for more suggestions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Siddartha
