What Does This Ultrasound Scan Report Of Abdomen Indicate?

Hello Sir, My father is 74 yrs old. His US Scan Abdomen report shows the following, Urinary Bladder : Post void residual urine vol. 220 ml. Prostate : Measures 5.12 * 5.13 * 6.82 cm. IMPRESSION: Grade III prostatomegaly with significant residual urine. So sir what should he do now. If he need to take any medicines. Please suggest.

Hey, your ultrasound suggest you are suffering from Benigh Prostate Enlargement. The definitive course of management is for you to have surgery of prostate.

Till then you can give trial of medications. Start using tamsulosin 0.4mg at night.

this will help with symptms
