What Does This Ultrasound Test Report For Pregnancy Indicate?
hi , im seema singh from india.im pregent. last period date was 5 march. yesterday i had my ultrasound in report its mention 1. uterus is enlarge anteverted with an instraiterine gestation sac 2. GS dimensions correspond to 5 week 3. yolk sac seen with in gestation sac.4. no fetal pole seen 5. decidual echoes are week and irragular 6. cervical canal is not dilated what dose it mean. please expain me its meaning
This is a normal ultrasound for pregnancy at 5 weeks of gestation. At this stage the fetus is so small that it may not be detected on ultrasound. I would recommend a follow up ultrasound after three weeks for confirmation of fetal pole.
Rest of the findings and comments about cervical canal, yolk sac and decidual reaction are normal for this early stage of pregnancy.
I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health.
