What Does This Ultrasound Test Result For Abdomen Indicate?

my 18 year old daughter has recently and an ultra sound on her abdomen. Results showed mild hepatomegaly with minimal changes of fatty acid. we believe her binge drinking and poor diet are the cause ( tested negative for hepatitis A,b,C)She continues to binge drink. Any advice please

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Mild hepatomegaly and fatty liver are most probably associated with alcohol consumption.
Fatty liver is reversible if alcohol consumption is stopped.
Thus, alcohol consumption should be stopped completely and liver function tests should also be performed.
Ultrasound abdomen and liver function tests should be repeated after 1-2 months to assess the status of fatty change and liver functions.
In addition, diet should be improved with increase in intake of proteins, vitamins and minerals.
