Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi my last periods were on 5th Feb 2016 and an ultrasound on 22nd March 2016 shows an 1.3 echogenic endometrium. What does this mean? No focal masses in uterus. Left ovarian hemorhage cyst wiyh minimal streak of fluid seen in POD. Left ovary = 5*3.4 cm Right ovary = 2.4 * 1.5 No. Of follicles in each = 4-5 Cyst is noted with fine.internal septation measuring 4.2 * 3.3 cm Right ovary largest size = 0.6 *0.4 Left ovary largest size = 0.7 * 0.3
* The ultrasound report with endometrium thickening of 1.3 cm is indicative of hormone changes induced adenomyosis or else.
Hemorrhagic cyst of left ovary needs surgical intervention in most of the cases. If the symptoms are available to co relate with these findings, I would be in a better direction to guide more precisely on clinical grounds.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
