What Does This Ultrasound Test Result Of Uterus Indicate?
just want to know what s the meaning of this,Average sized uterus with homogenous myometrium.thickened echogenic endometrium, may be due to endometrial polyp and/or hyperplasia.unremarkable cervix normal size ovaries with polycystic like pattern no adnexal pathology (+) cul de sac fluid
I have gone through your ultrasound report and most of the findings are normal as the size of the uterus, homogenous myometrium or no adenexal sac pathology or fluid. As for the thickened echogenic myometrium, its size keeps changing depending upon the stage of female monthly reproductive cycle. If the scan was done in late days of your cycle then this is not of that much significance but if it was done in your early days of cycle then the chances of endometrial polyp or hyperplasia arise. I would suggest you consult your local physician so that he corelates your ultrasound findings with proper medical history and physical examination and may order further lab tests or imaging tests. the finding of PCOs also need to be further investigated by the physician.
I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns. Wishing you good health.
