What Does This Urinalysis Report Indicate?

Hi.my mother s age is 50yrs and her urinalysis report shows loaded pus cells,epithelial cells 2-3 and rbc nil.she is taking oral antibiotics i.e nitrofurantoin 100 for the past one month.she was recently treated for pyelonephritis.what does the word loaded pus cells mean?

Your mother having acute urinary tract infection...

It could be in form of urethritis, Pyelonephritis or cystitis...

You have been diagnosed as Pyelonephritis.. In these UTI infections pus cell that is wbc excreted in urine and hence case diagnosed

Here urine culture can be done to choose specific antibiotic

Drink more water and fruit juice

Cranberry juice extract tablet will be beneficial

Avoid excess spicy foods

Take care

Consult physician for examination with keeping all this in mind
