When urinalysis RBC RESULT is 148/ hpf and urine protein 30 MG/dl....what would cause such an extreme out of range reading for the RBC mean.... everything else is relatively normal... could a boil that comes to a head near the vagina with bleeding, have caused some blood to drip in the urine vial and cause this abnormal reading. Would it be good to have another exam since the boil has cleared to determine if the reading is different
RBC of 148/hpf is very very high .It indicates presence of Red Blood Cells in the urine.A boil , as you had mentioned may lead to exudation of blood and may have led to increased presence /detection of blood in the urine. As the boil has resolved , i would recommend you to get the routine examination of urine done once again to clear the air of doubt, if any. Also , do come back with the reports. Do tell me the symptoms which led you to get the urine test done. Do mention your age and marital status as well.
