What Does This Urinalysis Test Result While Treating UTI Indicate?
My mother urine culture came back with the organism as Escherichia and the micro as coli. Value was 100,000 cfu/ml Escherichia coli unable to determine colony count of Klebsiella pneumoniae.What does this mean? She has advanced alzheimers and has been consistently treated for UTIs with oral, which don t usually clear it up, has had IM shots, and has been hospitalized on IV antibiotics a few times in the last year. Is this an even more strenuous strain?

it is e coli. a common organism for u ti in female. reason is proximity of anus to vagina. itis notorious to gain resistance. so start treatment early after culture and sensitivity test.
