What Does This Urine Analysis Report Of 4 Year Old Suggest?
My 4 year old has fever so I had a urinalysis done to check for uti. Result as follows: Color: yellow / Transparency: hazy/ specific gravity: 1.015/ ph:5/ protein: trace/ glucose: negative/ cast: none seen/ WBC (pus cells): 2-3/hpf / rbc: 0-2/hpf/ epithelial cellls: rare/ mucus threads: moderate/ amorphous urates: few/ bacteria: few
What can you say about the result? Does he have UTI and should I be alarmed with the WBC?
greetings, the report you are showing may not necessarily show a UTI,as 2-3 pus cells/hpf may otherwise also can be seen., hope this has helped. you should try to corelate it with symptoms, does your child has high gradev fever or chills and having difficulty while micturating. hope this has helped. thanks and regards.
