What Does This Urine Analysis Result Indicate Despite Suffering From IBS?
I am a Medical professional at 71. Since about 25 years I have been suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome and severe weight loss, Weakness, exercise intolerance etc. For about 6-8 months I feel too weak after passing urine at night. Tiredness, lethargy, sweating and restlessness last for few minutes during which I have to switch on the fan even at a cool weather. I get up 3-4 times at night for passing urine. Blood Sugar, Urine analysis report are normal with minimal Prostatic enlargement detected in USG. Please help. Dr. Sujit Chakrabarty
The difficulty in passing urine could be related to 2 main reasons for me: 1. Dehydration 2. If no urine infection should check the status of the bladder and urethra to exclude related tumoral/inflammatory pathologies.
A complete biochemistry panel to understand the function of the kidneys, liver, pancreas, PSA, and CEA markers. Meanwhile, anti-inflammatory medications are recommended to ease the pain and cranberry supplement to ease urinary symptoms.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
