What Does This Urine Test Report Indicate?

I recently had a urine test done in the lab and found mg leukocyte to be 25 leu/microlitre and erythrocyte to be 25. The rest like nitrite and all are negative. I am also having menstruation when I m doing the test. Will it be accurate still? Because i have uti before, i know how it feels like if i have it. But this time i dont feel any pain or symptoms for uti or anything.

Thanks for your question. I am Dr Asanghanwa Carlson. Your urine test results might be wrong as surely it was collected during your menses and that might have contaminated the urine. A urinary tract infection might be accompanied by urinary urgency, burning sensation while urinating, slight lower abdominal pains and fever depending if it is an upper or lower urinary tract infection and a urine test gives a clue to this. However for results to be conclusive, they have to be well collected else there could be contamination by the menses which I am afraid might be the case now. Otherwise there is a possibility of a lower urinary tract infection. Good luck
