Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter s xray report said there was a corticated density near her ankle probably chronic. The substitute pediatrician (reading the report not seeing the films) really couldn t say what that was, or if I needed it looked at even if her pain went away. Daughter has had pain for a week after twisting her ankle on a trampoline. Should I worry about this corticated density?
The corticated density around ankle after history of twisting indicates post traumatic bone mineralisation most likely. However, a clinical examination is of paramount importance at this stage to evaluate the problem and co relate it with the X-ray film or report.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
