Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Good day! My two year old brother was diagnose with koch s infection. After six months of medication, the result on the x-ray says that it shows partial clearing of interstitial streaky densities, however, nodular hilar opcities are still seen. The impression on the result is partial resolution of primary koch s infection . What does it mean? Does he need to take additional medication?
The X-ray findings suggest that there is clearance of opacities in lung fields which suggest clearance of Koch's infection. The anti-tubercular drugs need to be taken as per the schedule.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
