Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a chest xray few days ago. The findings say: suspicious right apical infiltrate . A curvilinear density is appreciated in the right paravertebral area at the level of T6, T7 and TV vertebral bodies superimposed over the cardiac shadow. Heart is not enlarged. diaphragm and sinuses are intact. what does this mean? I am worried about this because it s for my work.
The report just says there is an infiltrate(a change from the normal look) on upper part of right lung in X-ray. This does not suggest any particular diagnosis. This can happen from infection or collapse of lung tissue there. If no active symptoms now, this is unlikely to be significant and might suggest a previously healed infection, as in tuberculosis or pneumonia. Your doctor will discuss in detail.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
