Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I just got a report that says Widening of acromioclavicular joint space which needs clinical correction for tyope 2 sprain. Genohumeral joint space is preserved. No focal bony lesion or bony injury seen. Type II acromion with preserved subacromial space. No soft tissue calcification .. Could you please suggest what s next?
As per my clinical experience, the degree of acromioclavicular joint space is vital to co relate with the underlying possibility of sprain with its mechanism of impact of injury. However, an MRI would be much more informative and efficient for the particular diagnosis and further management guidelines accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
