What Does Tight Sensation And Heaviness In The Throat Indicate?

I have a heaviness/tightness in met throat and middle of mt chest only when I lie down. Back in 2011 I was in hospital for 14 days with Stress-induced cardiomyopathy. That has cleared itself. My throat also feels thick. And my BP is a lot higher than usual.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Past history of cardiomyopathy, high blood pressure, tightness and Heaviness in chest etc are more suggestive of heart diseases.
So better to consult cardiologist and get done blood pressure monitoring, ecg, 2d echo and stress test (trade mill test).
You may need antihypertensive and other cardiac supportive drugs.
Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
