What Does Tight Sensation In The Chest And Upper Abdomen Indicate?
I have been dealing with some chest tightness and upper abdomen pain for almost 4 weeks now, doesn t seem like it s going to resolve itself. i can consistently feel it, but sometimes it worsens and would be described as a pulsing pain. Weird thing is, the location of this pain is not always the same. I have had an EKG and chest x-ray done and both came back normal. I have a terrible diet and eat way too much fast food, which I m guessing has something to do with this. I believe it may be related to my stomach or esophagus. Any suggestions or possible answers would be greatly appreciated.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, you may need to have CT chest with contrast, or barium swallow to rule out any structural lesion in the areas you mentioned however upper GI endoscopy may also be needed to rule out hiatus hernia. Meanwhile using antacids and Motility agents like domperidone may help.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
