What Does Tingling Sensation Above The Ears Indicate?
I am having a tingling sensation starting above my ear and periodically it trails down on my ear and to my lower jaw. I was wearing new glasses that were uncomfortable and might have been applying pressure on my ear, I have switched to a lighter frame but I continue to get this sensation 4-5 times per day. With or without the lighter glasses.
As per your query, you have symptoms of tingling sensation above the ears, which is because of nerve impingement or pressure on facial nerve which can lead to these symptoms.
Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to visit neurologist once and get it examined to rule out nerve compression, neuralgia or other conditions. Avoid opening mouth extreme wide while jawing. If it is not due to nerve and due to dental infection then consult dentist once and get it examined. Doctor may prescribe OPG. Till then take neurotropic medication such as nerve supplement, Methylcobalamin is effective to improve your symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
