What Does Tingling Sensation In The Hands Along With Lower Backache Indicate?

Hi, II am a 37 yr old female and have been experiencing a variety of symptoms that have developed in the last week. I have tingling in my hands, extreme joint pain in my hips and lower back pain that developed last Thursday and has not lessened with medicine, heat or stretching. Also, I have been experiencing a heavier than normal period every other week for the last two months. Changing pad/tampon every hour even while sleeping. Period lasts 7 days is gone for 45 days then comes back. Appreciate your feedback. Thanks,

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The symptoms you reported are suggestive for disc herniation of the spinal vertebra. A detailed clinical examination and probably radiological exams are needed to make the diagnosis. The heavy menstrual discharge needs a hormonal panel control and a lower abdominal ultrasound.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
