What Does Tingling Sensation In The Head Indicate?

I had an episode where i remember feeling an electric surge in my brain and thinking I had gone crazy. I knew my normal life was over. it felt like it went on for hours but only lasted a few minutes and passed. I am very concerned. my dr is changing my medicine but is this enough?
