What Does Tingling Sensation On The Left Side Of The Sternum Indicate?

I have been experiencing a tingling sensation to my left side of my sternum a few times a day, every day for the last month. Occasionally it may have a slight throb to it. Also, it almost feels like there is a balloon just under the surface of my skin there. It covers an area of about 2 x 3 . Should I be worried?
