Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does Tiredness And Light Headedness While On Diet Indicate?
Why do I feel tired and light headed while dieting? I have started working out with weights three to four days a week again after a 2 year break and cut my daily calories by approximately 500-1000. Now I feel tired and light headed, I have no energy and can hardly get through my workouts some days, I also have been experiencing ED which has never happened before.
Hello. I am Dr. Praveen and I will be answering your question today. Its commendable that you are focussing on your health. But i feel you are doing it a little too much. I mean it would be good to maintain a healthy amount of calories for your day to day functioning. Moreover you are probably experiencing light headeness due to the same reason. The reason for ED (new onset) needs to be investigated. Rapid weight loss is never a healthy thing. Please continue but take it lighter and enjoy the weight loss/fitness regimen. You will if its upto your capacity. Your endurance will increase with time. DOnt worry. Wishing you good health. Please feel free to drop in any more queries if need be. Take care. Warm regards, Dr Praveen Jeyapathy
