What Does Transvaginal Pelvic Ultrasound Finding Mean?
I recently had a transvaginal pelvic ultrasound. The scans show multiple uterine myomas, Bilateral complex ovarian masses (cystic and solid) present. ovarian heterogeneously echogenic mass. Also, several nabothian cysts noted in the cervix. Then it says bilateral complex ovaian systic masses, cstadenocarcinoma is not excluded on this exam. What does this mean?
There is complex mixed solid -cystic masses noted in both ovary, possibility of cystadenocarcinoma. You need further investigation for confirmation. You need Contrast CT Scan of abdomen and tumour markers.Proper treatment depend upon clinical examination and investigation reports. There is also multiple fibroids in the uterus. There is multiple nabothian cysts in the cervix. These are asymptomatic cysts and doesn't require any treatment. Hope i have answered your query.
