What Does Twitching Sensation In The Neck Indicate?

Hi I been getting severe twitching straining of my neck resulting in my neck pulling to the right side uncontrollably with me not being able to stop it. It also happens when I try to inhale it s becoming so bad it s embarrassing to go out and don t no what to do. I will be honest it started when I started using cocaine again and then it becomes completly uncontrollable and feel as though my neck is going to snap or break. Please can you help me or give me some reason as to what is causing this to happen.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have jaw tightness and twitching sensation in neck and difficulty in sleeping . Well there can be many reason for the symptoms you mention in query like cervical spondolysis , bruxism which causes jaw tightness , spasm of neck muscle , wrong posture or due to conditions related to heart problem . Such symptoms can also occur due to nerve press. I would suggest you to take proper rest , do not exert your body , do gentle stretching exercise of neck and jaw muscles and start physical therapy of jaw and neck muscles . Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper evaluation . Doctor will examine physically and ask you to do certain movements . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxants , anti inflammatory and vitamin supplements specially vitamin e an b complex.
