What Does Uncovertebral Joint Arthropathy Causing Neural Foraminal Effacement Mean?
Can you explain my MRI results. I have a broad-based disc osteophyte complex resulting in mild effacement of the anterior thecal sac touching the cord without high-grade central canal stenosis. Unconvertebral joint arthropathy contiributing to moderate bilateral neural foraminal effacement
The vertebral joint posteriorly has features of inflammation which is causing the effacement on bilateral neural foramen.
Inflammatory reaction with adjacent fat stranding may cause the foramina narrowing - generally the osteophytic growth, desc bulge causes the narrowing.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
