Hello,
You are having unexplained bruises on the torso. You are suggested to avoid being directly exposed to the sun too long. Unexplained bruises may be indicative of aging and
vitamin deficiency that weakens small blood vessels near the skin's surface and hence bruising.
Bruising without an injury could be a sign of a serious underlying medical condition like a blood
clotting disorder, diabetes, purpura,
petechial rash, bleeding disorders, etc. Some antibiotics and
anticoagulant medications can cause clotting problems resulting in random bruising or larger bruises from trauma to the skin. Blood-thinning medications also cause easy bruising on your legs or other areas of your body.
Be careful of the medicines you have been taking. Bruises are painful at first but they may start to itch as they heal. Bruising can be greatly reduced by taking vitamin C and vitamin K or food rich in the same. Control your blood glucose level at all cost. Cold compression and elevation mat help. You can apply Ointment Thrombophob on the area affected to reduce
blood clots that are under the skin. You can apply
aloe vera on the affected area.
Take
acetaminophen, one SOS to reduce inflammation and pain. Get clinically examined by a GP, get all required tests done so that the pathology causing you symptoms can be detected and treatment done at the earliest. Stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
