Hello,
Your husbands symptoms are indicative of
peptic ulcer, he is craving for salt may be suggestive of
dehydration, chronic
stress,
migraine or allergies. Medical conditions that can cause similar symptoms are IBS,
celiac disease, Crohn's disease, GERD, etc. You are suggested to get your husband clinically examined by a GP, get all required blood work outs and tests/imaging tests done.
Treatment will depend upon the pathology that is detected. He should take adequate water and fluids to prevent dehydration and thus craving for salt. To get rid of the discomfort he can take PPIs, one stat when needed. He should take home made boiled food for a couple of months. He should not skip meals and take food in time.
He can take small portions of food 3-4 times a day. Help him stay away from stress (physical and emotional). He should be active, do regular exercises and walking. He should stay away from addictions if any.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
