What Does Uterine Cavity Is Accurate Shape But Shows No Filling Defects Indicate?
Hi, I had HSG X ray done which says: utrine cavity is arcuate shape but shows no filling defects. Right tube is normal till distil end and shows loculated spill. Left tube is normal and shows free spill. Post this me and my huband were adviced few antibiotics for 21 days. After the antibiotics also as there was no positive result.. I have been adviced hydro tubation. Cold you please explain is it going in right direction and does loculation cause any problem in conceiving.
This looks more like a normal uterus, except it has a dip, or slight indentation at the top. It is a common abnormality, affecting about one in 25 women in the general population. It doesn't usually make conceiving difficult.
However the loculated spill on left side means that there are adhesions causing the fallopian tube to form a collection and suggests the presence of peritubal adhesions when loculation of spill is noted.
The right tubes are normal with spill noted.
You might be having difficulty in conceiving due to adhesions in left tube but because right side is normal, there should not be problem to conceive in future.
Antibiotics are given to prevent infection and not for conceiving. Hydrotubation can normalize the left tube.
