What Does Vaginal Bleeding After Missing Birth Control Pill Indicate?

i am 46 and on birthcontrol I missed a couple last month and started to bleed on the third row of pills in the pack and was advised by my doctor to start a new pack that following monday which was this passed monday but I am still spotting and have clots what could this be

Thanks for writing in HCM.
The reason why you are having bleeding even when you are on birth control is because of hormonal imbalance, caused due to missing of birth control pills. Irregular intake of birth control pills is known to cause hormonal imbalance.
You need to take birth control pills regularly so that in a couple of months it should regularise and free from these symptoms.
In case it doesn't happen, you need to consult Gynecologist for further evaluation and management.
