What Does Vaginal Spotting During Menopause Indicate?

Hi I am 50 and I didn t have any sign of a period for about 12 months. I assume that I am going thru menopause, however about 1 week ago I started spotting, I have been spotting ever since. it has not stopped, I am also having pain in my right side abdominal area. It feels like my ovary. I have had this pain at least once a month for a day for the last 12 months, with no bleeding. I assumed it was just my ovaries trying to work. Lora

Hello, my name is Dr Olgeta Xhufka. . I understand your concern. Once your period stops for six months you are in menopause and you are supposed not to have anymore bleeding. If you do you have to visit the gynecologist soon because is not normal
