What Does Varying Sugar Levels From 170 To 220 Suggest?

Hello Doctor, I am a diabetic and my sugar levels from last one month is not under control it varie from 170 to 220 fasting. After consulting my doctor I am takin glimipride 2 mg twice a day, but it fails to control. I am controlled my diet and doing regular walk but all in vain, please suggest.

The sugar level you have mentioned are higher than normal. With time, in Diabetes, the dosage of drugs initially controlled blood sugar may not be able to control. This happens because with time passing by, The insulin production or action still get reduced.

Then we need to go for either increase of dosage or addition of new drugs under treating doctors advice,
