What Does Weight Gain Along With Negative Pregnancy Test Result Indicate?
I ve took two pregancy test and they were both neg. I ve been hungry more and I ve noticed I ve gained a little weight. My stomach has been itchy and my stomach feels tender when I wear certain pants. I had a day and a half period this month but no positive test. What could this be?
Hi, Thanks for writing to HCM. Pregnancy is one condition which would cause increase in appetite and you would gain weight. But since your pregnancy tests are negative, it could be other reasons why you would be gaining weight. Kindly get the following tests done: 1. Fasting and post-prandial blood glucose to rule out diabetes mellitus. 2. Thyroid profile to rule out hypothyroidism. Kindly consult Physician in this regard for proper diagnosis and appropriate management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
