What Does Well-corticated Ossific Density Within The Suprapatellar Bursa On X Ray Mean?
My knee xray came back : a well-corticated ossific density within the suprapatellar bursa projecting medially. Finding may relate to loose oseteochondral fragment. What does this mean and how should I proceed
I am a 42 year old women who was in a rear end car accident and had my knee xrayed because it hurt.
The reports shows the presence of a small loose body which is a fragment of cartilage just above the knee cap. Usually this does not cause any problems with locomotion and not considered a dangerous condition. If you have any restriction of joint movements at the knee joint due to this fragment then it must be confirmed by doing clinical examination.
