What Does Xray As Perihilar Nodularities Pnuemonia Vs. Koch S Etiology Suggest?
my daughter (turning 4y/o next month) had an xray this morning, it says there are nodular perihilar opacities seen and under impression the radiologist wrote perihilar nodularities pnuemonia vs. koch s etiology , can anyone explain it to us in a more understandable manner? thank you in advance
Nodular perihilar opacities may be due to many reasons like pneumonia, tuberculosis etc. Your daughter need proper clinical examination and further investigations. She need routine hemogram,Mantoux test etc. PCR for T.B test can be done if needed. At present, broad spectrum antibiotics should be given. If it is due to bacterial pneumonia then it will subside with antibiotics other wise she need further investigations.
Hope i have answered your query. Take Care Dr.Indu Bhushan
