What Does Yellowish Brown Clot After Infected Tooth Extraction Indicate?
hi I had a infected root canal tooth extracted 2 days ago the clot looks yellowish brown is this normal? I have no pain Also it looks like a little white spot is now on the inside of the gum near my tongue where it was extracted. I had a little white spot on the other side of the of my gum under the tooth near my cheek that seems to be gone now. But Is the infection pushing out the other side near my tongue now?
As per your query you have symptoms of yellowish brown clot after tooth extraction which is entirely normal and white spot which you can see is a naked bone which is sign of rapid healing. Don't dislodge the clot with tongue as it will cause formation of dry socket then and leads to infection. Infection is not pushing from one side to other. White spot on other side is just mild irritation. Keep following instructions given by dentist. Do warm saline gargles three times a day. Don't blow out and split repeatedly as it will cause dislodgement of clot. Use antimicrobial mouth wash to prevent from antimicrobial agents. In case if you experience any type of pain or foul smell near socket visit dentist immediately and get IOPA(X-ray) done to check level of healing and bone formation. Keep drinking cold water.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
