What Dosage Of AKT-4 Pills Is Advisable For Tuberculosis?

Hi,My wife aged 22 is diagnosed with TB effecting lungs,from past 3 months recently we got to know about it,doctor prescribed AKT-4 tablets,kindly describe dosage to be followed as per instruction red tablet to be taken empty stomach in morning ,and the remaining three to be taken after half an hour.but my wife weighs about 50 kg ,is it ok to continue with the prescribed dosage.

Hi,

AKT-4 pills are commonly prescribed to treat TB of the lungs. It is a combination of 4 drugs which includes Rifampin (450 mg), Isoniazid (300 mg) Ethambutol (800 mg) and Pyrazinamide (750 mg). Usually Akt-4 Kit must be taken empty stomach every day at a fixed time to ensure adequate absorption and better efficacy.Yes, it is okay to continue with the prescribed dosages by her treating doctor.
