What Dosage Of Ivermectin Should Be Taken To Cure Scabies?

i AM TAKEN IVERMECTIN FOR SCABIES,, MY WEIGHT IS 215LBS,, AND I AM TAKEN 6- 3MG TABLETS,, IS THAT ENOUGH TO KILL THE SCABIES FOR MY WEIGHT.. I AM 67 YEARS OLD,, AND SHOULD I DO SOMETHING ELSE TO KILL THESE LITTLE MITES. IT SAYS I HAVE TO PAY 15 A MONTH FOR THIS ANSWER?? IS THAT CORRECT??

Hi.. Thanks for asking Health care magic..

First thing be sure its scabies by consulting a dermatologist..

Your Ivermictin dose is enough for your weight but you need to repeat the same dose after 2 weeks of first dose..

Along with ivermictin use a topical lotions like Lindane or permithrin5% or crotamiton which has to be applies all over your body except head and face weekly once until lesions disappear..
You need to apply it at night with pressing solution into skin to kill mites inside burrows of skin.. after application sleep overnight with it.. in the next day morning you need to take a bath and wash all your clothes in hot water..
do it weekly until lesions disappear..

Here your family members also need to use topical solution even without scabies if you are all sharing beds, washing and all..

I can understand its cumbersome process.. but scabies needs that much care to make it sure gets cured completely..
