1.The follicular study is to see the growth of the follicle and monitor when it breaks and free fluid is seen in the pelvic cavity. 2.In your case there is a dominant follicle in right measuring 17mm and 18.5mm respectively. 3.Left side MSD - multiple small follicle - no dominant follicle. 4.Any where more than 13mm is good to conceive once it is break your will be asked to get the medication and involve in inter course. 5.Endometrial thickness measuring 9mm which is normal. Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
hello. A follicular study is an ultrasound study to monitor the growth of follicles in the ovaries and also endometrial (lining of the uterus) thickening. Every cycle, usually one follicle in an ovary will outgrow the others and become dominant, and eventually rupture to release the egg. This most likely happens in the mid-cycle - and is called ovulation. The second USG report shows growth of a follicle in the right ovary and thickening of the endometrium, which is normal. Follicles usually rupture around this time, which means it is the fertile part of your cycle (assuming your cycles are regular), and intercourse before and after ovulation maybe fruitful. Free fluid if seen on ultrasound is sign of follicular rupture. You must follow up for a scan to document the same. All the best.
