What Effect Does Chemotherapy And Radiotherapy Has On Conceiving?
Hello doc, I am a breast cancer patient. My age is 34.Got oprated on 8 march 2012.treatment was completed on 16 September after 6 chemotherapy and 25 radiotherapy. ER, PR, Fish test were all negative. So takin only vitamin tablets for recovery. My question is : can I conceive after all such treatement ? What test shud I undergo for knowing my fertility?

Radiotherapy to breast or chest has no effect on fertility but chemotherapy has. However, conception after chemo for breast cancer at your age is not unusual. After your periods return, you should consult fertility expert for further evaluation and tests.
