What Happens When One Gets A Seizure?

Why do some people's face turn blue during a seizure.
What exactly is happening in the brain during a seizure that would cause that to happen?
Is it just simply a lack of oxygen in the brain?
I know all seizures are different and this may only happen during certain types of seizures, but as far as I know I had partial complex seizures and have always had that symptom when I had a seizure.

Please give me details about hypoxia in the brain during a seizure.
