What Happens When The The Air From The Balloon Goes In The Mouth?
Hello, I am 17 years old, and I have TOC, what happend is that I have a question.... One day.. I decided to blow a balloon.. and then I let the air of the balloon and all the pressure of it enter into my mouth.. That action puffed out my cheeks a lot.. and that hurt me a lot.. But I have done that some times.. and after do that.. I get ver worried... because I think that something bad is going to happen in my cheeks, ... like make me my cheeks more flaby or something like that.. I am very worried... Thanks for your help...
You see, the cheeks are compose of muscles and soft tissues are are somehow elastic. A few stretching on the cheeks will not really cause much problem or lasting problem apart from the pain that could result.
A more dreadful scenario would be if the pressure was going into your lungs which could cause baro-trauma of the lungs. This is deadly and not some thing one should ever have. Fortunately, this is not the case with you.
Best regards and hope this helps. Dr Achuo
